Tales from the cockpit as this retired airline pilot flies his 60-year-old restored Beechcraft Bonanza solo around the World and over the North Pole. In 2016, Adrian flew a challenging 24,000-nautical-mile flight around the World and in 2021 he completed an epic nonstop 21-hour flight from Reykjavik, Iceland, across the North Pole to Fairbanks, Alaska. Adrian will give you a glimpse of parts of the world that most people may never get to see, through amazing pictures and videos. He will also talk about the challenges he faced with preparing for and completing these flights.
Adrian is an accomplished aviator, flight instructor, aviation mechanic, adventurer, and aviation educator who has flown over 25,000 hours to 54 different countries. Adrian has also flow as an airline, corporate, government and contract military pilot and during his time with the FAA and NASA he routinely flew Presidential cabinet members, FAA senior leadership and astronauts including Neil Armstrong and John Glenn.
Adrian used his notoriety as a National FAA Aviation Safety Counselor of the Year and National FAA Maintenance Technician of the Year to engage pilots across many media, including magazine articles, webinars, podcasts, in-person speaking engagements, and videos. His writing and instructing have inspired hundreds of thousands of pilots through the largest aviation publications and most respected training organizations.
