Pre-Flight Planning for your Mountain Flight

Join us for our February Safety meeting with our very own Todd Fisher.  

Todd will go over several things that are intended to be key points for you to consider, especially if you have not ventured into the mountainous areas of the states of WV, NC, SC. Flying in these regions is in many ways quite different that flying a few hours to the west and northwest of our home region. Weather and terrain can combine in ways that may take you beyond your comfort zone or may tax the performance capability of your chosen aircraft. We will look these from the perspective of the eastern mountains where development of these phenomena may not be as obvious as it is in the higher western mountains.
