Join us for the first ECOPA online safety seminar. This months topic will be safety around helicopters.

Helicopters are prevalent and it is important to understand what traffic patterns they fly, rotor wash and parking are all unique and different than airplanes. 

This seminar will acquaint you with safe operations around helicopters in the airport and non airport environment. 

Our guest speaker is Gordon Harwell. 

Gordon Harwell has a broad background in civil, military, rotary-wing and fixed-wing aviation with over 7,000 hours of flight time. Extensive multi-engine IFR experience in offshore, EMS, and SAR. Instructor and Check Airman in the S-76 and AW139. Experienced King Air 200 pilot. Experienced leader as a United States Marine Corps Officer and Lead Check Airman. Project manager specializing in Aviation Safety, Human Factors, and Crew Resource Management.

Gordon is currently an S76 Captain with PHI Helicopters assigned to the Cleveland Clinic EMS helicopter base at Wadsworth Airport.
