Make your reservations now for our Annual Awards Banquet on Friday, March 23, at Skyland Pines. Our speaker will be Jack Waters, retired naval aviator and now an experimental test pilot for the Boeing Company.
Whether you fly jumbo jets or gliders, and no matter if you are a pilot, passenger, or frequent flier, the nature of air travel is changing. In his presentation, “The New Edge of Aviation”, Jack Waters shares his insights, lessons learned, and real life anecdotes on the factors that are driving the future of aviation, reshaping our cockpits, and enhancing our flying experience.
The NEW Edge of Aviation:
The bounds of aviation are far from being found. Emerging technologies are creating new opportunities that are both exciting and scary. These technologies are impacting how, where, and when we fly, how we learn to fly, and most importantly how we stay safe in the very real world of weather, terrain, and increasingly congested airspace. Perhaps most importantly, as we rush toward the promises of new technologies, we are challenged to remain in touch with the fundamental essence of flying.
