All - please see correspondence below from AOPA regarding the proposed expansion of an MOA that may affect you and your flying. Public comments are due to the FAA by 2/7/20. Therefore, ECOPA is asking for your input NO LATER THAN end of business on Monday, 2/3/20 so that we may prepare a letter to the FAA to address your concerns. We have attached a lay-out of the proposed Evers MOA expansion along with a preliminary letter prepared by AOPA in January of 2019 to address various issues that they see with respect to this proposed expansion.

AOPA Evers MOA Informal Comment.pdf

Please take a few minutes and read this news release carefully - the FAA is now taking public comments on a proposed MOA (Evers MOA) expansion that would affect civilian aviation in the West Virginia region. The expansion could have impacts on VFR and IFR traffic headed to the eastern coast corridors.

I would encourage any users of that airspace to provide comments.  AOPA has been involved since last January, submitting informal comments as part of the environmental scoping.  AOPA, as an organization is planning formal comments in this current process, along with hosting a webinar with the appropriate military staff.  Comments are due by February 7th, 2020.  Feel free to forward this to others that may have an interest.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns as we look forward to your input by 2/3/20 or before.

Thanks!
